Brief Biography
Obtained a Masters Degree in Chemistry (1st Class Honours) from University of Punjab, Pakistan in 2004 and M.Phil in Biotechnology(Ist Class) from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2007. During the M.Phil, a one year research project was undertaken on the optimization of process parameters for tylosin production using solid-state fermentation by wild type Streptomyces fradiae NRRL2702 and its gamma irradiated mutant. During the M.Sc, a six month research project was undertaken on the determination of total mineral profile of camel meat using spectrophotometry and atomic absorption spectroscopy.

Research Interests
In, October, 2008, commenced a Ph.D in the FOCAS Institute, focused on the investigation of the capabilities of Raman spectroscopy for the detection and discrimination of different grades of cervical cancer and pre-cancer.
