Brief Biography MSc in Physical Sciences in Medicine from Trinity College Dublin, 2000. PhD in Physics from Dublin Institute of Techology, 2010 with a thesis entitled "Spectroscopic and chemometric approaches to radiobiological analysis". Member of the Institute of Physics, the Radiation Research Society (US) and the Association of Radiation Research (UK). Previously employed as a Medical Physicist in the Department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering at St. James's Hospital (1997 to 2002). Joined staff of School of Physics, DIT in December 2002. Teaching Interests General Medical Physics and Clinical Measurement. Radiation Protection and Radiobiology. Non-Ionising Radiation. Nuclear and Particle Physics. Research Interests Radiobiology. Biophotonics. Multivariate modelling and data mining techniques. On secondment from September 2008 to September 2010 as Project Coordinator under the HEA PRTLI Cycle 4 funded National Biophotonics and Imaging Platform at the Focas Institute. |
