DipAppSc DIT 1983, BSc Trinity College 1983, MSc 1986 (A Study on the Impulse Response of B-mode Ultrasound Scanners).

PhD in 2009 from DIT on the basic properties of Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes.

Lecturer in School Physics Dublin Institute of Technology 1983 to date. As a lecturer has been involved for a number of years in developing and presenting at undergraduate level courses in the general area of material science. One such 4th Year course examines the physics of modern, novel materials such as carbon nanotubes.

Research Interests
Interest in the area of purification and isolation of carbon nanotubes using small organic molecules and semi-conjugated polymers. Involvement in several projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level in this area.
